In this story, quiet and reserved Mary Anne Spier must find her voice when a major fight divides the members of the Baby-Sitters Club. As tensions rise among her friends, Mary Anne is forced to step outside her comfort zone and take on greater responsibility both at home and during a sudden babysitting emergency. Ultimately, her courage and calm handling of a crisis help repair broken friendships and earn newfound independence from her protective father. Not to be confused with the 2020 Netflix adaptation, which does include a transgender character.
